From 6.0.0 to before 6.0.4 and 7.0.2, setPath in @rvf/set-get (used by @rvf/core to flatten incoming form data into a nested object) does not block the keys __proto__, constructor, or prototype when walking a path. Because field names in submitted form data are passed directly to setPath via preprocessFormData (and through parseFormData / validate), an attacker who can submit a form to a Remix / React Router app using the library can set arbitrary properties on Object.prototype of the running server process. This is a default-reachable prototype pollution primitive: no special configuration is required. Any endpoint that accepts a form via parseFormData or runs a validator created with createValidator is affected. This vulnerability is fixed in 6.0.4 and 7.0.2.","references":[{"reference_url":"https://api.first.org/data/v1/epss?cve=CVE-2026-44483","reference_id":"","reference_type":"","scores":[{"value":"0.00055","scoring_system":"epss","scoring_elements":"0.17548","published_at":"2026-06-11T12:55:00Z"}],"url":"https://api.first.org/data/v1/epss?cve=CVE-2026-44483"},{"reference_url":"https://github.com/airjp73/rvf","reference_id":"","reference_type":"","scores":[{"value":"8.2","scoring_system":"cvssv3.1","scoring_elements":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:L"},{"value":"HIGH","scoring_system":"generic_textual","scoring_elements":""}],"url":"https://github.com/airjp73/rvf"},{"reference_url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-44483","reference_id":"","reference_type":"","scores":[{"value":"8.2","scoring_system":"cvssv3.1","scoring_elements":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:L"},{"value":"HIGH","scoring_system":"generic_textual","scoring_elements":""}],"url":"https://nvd.nist.gov/vuln/detail/CVE-2026-44483"},{"reference_url":"https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-c567-44rc-m5hq","reference_id":"GHSA-c567-44rc-m5hq","reference_type":"","scores":[],"url":"https://github.com/advisories/GHSA-c567-44rc-m5hq"},{"reference_url":"https://github.com/airjp73/rvf/security/advisories/GHSA-c567-44rc-m5hq","reference_id":"GHSA-c567-44rc-m5hq","reference_type":"","scores":[{"value":"8.2","scoring_system":"cvssv3.1","scoring_elements":"CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:H/A:L"},{"value":"HIGH","scoring_system":"generic_textual","scoring_elements":""},{"value":"Track","scoring_system":"ssvc","scoring_elements":"SSVCv2/E:P/A:Y/T:P/P:M/B:A/M:M/D:T/2026-05-27T18:48:27Z/"}],"url":"https://github.com/airjp73/rvf/security/advisories/GHSA-c567-44rc-m5hq"}],"fixed_packages":[{"url":"http://public2.vulnerablecode.io/api/packages/375907?format=json","purl":"pkg:npm/%40rvf/set-get@6.0.4","is_vulnerable":false,"affected_by_vulnerabilities":[],"resource_url":"http://public2.vulnerablecode.io/packages/pkg:npm/%2540rvf/set-get@6.0.4"},{"url":"http://public2.vulnerablecode.io/api/packages/375906?format=json","purl":"pkg:npm/%40rvf/set-get@7.0.2","is_vulnerable":false,"affected_by_vulnerabilities":[],"resource_url":"http://public2.vulnerablecode.io/packages/pkg:npm/%2540rvf/set-get@7.0.2"}],"aliases":["CVE-2026-44483","GHSA-c567-44rc-m5hq"],"risk_score":null,"exploitability":null,"weighted_severity":null,"resource_url":"http://public2.vulnerablecode.io/vulnerabilities/VCID-7jjt-zeqn-6ub9"}],"fixing_vulnerabilities":[],"risk_score":null,"resource_url":"http://public2.vulnerablecode.io/packages/pkg:npm/%2540rvf/set-get@6.0.1"}
