{"url":"http://public2.vulnerablecode.io/api/vulnerabilities/90736?format=json","vulnerability_id":"VCID-uu4p-9yfp-pfbk","summary":"Fast DDS is a C++ implementation of the DDS (Data Distribution Service) standard of the OMG (Object Management Group\n). Prior to versions 3.4.1, 3.3.1, and 2.6.11, when the security mode is enabled, modifying the DATA Submessage within an \nSPDP packet sent by a publisher causes an Out-Of-Memory (OOM) condition, resulting in remote termination of Fast-DDS. If t\nhe fields of `PID_IDENTITY_TOKEN` or `PID_PERMISSIONS_TOKEN` in the DATA Submessage are tampered with — specifically by ta\nmpering with the the `vecsize` value read by `readOctetVector` — a 32-bit integer overflow can occur, causing `std::vector\n::resize` to request an attacker-controlled size and quickly trigger OOM and remote process termination. Versions 3.4.1, 3\n.3.1, and 2.6.11 patch the issue.","aliases":[{"alias":"CVE-2025-64098"}],"fixed_packages":[],"affected_packages":[],"references":[{"reference_url":"https://api.first.org/data/v1/epss?cve=CVE-2025-64098","reference_id":"","reference_type":"","scores":[{"value":"0.00018","scoring_system":"epss","scoring_elements":"0.0506","published_at":"2026-06-11T12:55:00Z"}],"url":"https://api.first.org/data/v1/epss?cve=CVE-2025-64098"},{"reference_url":"https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2025-64098","reference_id":"","reference_type":"","scores":[],"url":"https://cve.mitre.org/cgi-bin/cvename.cgi?name=CVE-2025-64098"},{"reference_url":"https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1121094","reference_id":"1121094","reference_type":"","scores":[],"url":"https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=1121094"},{"reference_url":"https://github.com/eProsima/Fast-DDS/commit/354218514d32beac963ff5c306f1cf159ee37c5f","reference_id":"354218514d32beac963ff5c306f1cf159ee37c5f","reference_type":"","scores":[{"value":"1.7","scoring_system":"cvssv4","scoring_elements":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U"},{"value":"Track","scoring_system":"ssvc","scoring_elements":"SSVCv2/E:N/A:N/T:P/P:M/B:A/M:M/D:T/2026-02-03T20:36:36Z/"}],"url":"https://github.com/eProsima/Fast-DDS/commit/354218514d32beac963ff5c306f1cf159ee37c5f"},{"reference_url":"https://github.com/eProsima/Fast-DDS/commit/a726e6a5daba660418d1f7c05b6f203c17747d2b","reference_id":"a726e6a5daba660418d1f7c05b6f203c17747d2b","reference_type":"","scores":[{"value":"1.7","scoring_system":"cvssv4","scoring_elements":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U"},{"value":"Track","scoring_system":"ssvc","scoring_elements":"SSVCv2/E:N/A:N/T:P/P:M/B:A/M:M/D:T/2026-02-03T20:36:36Z/"}],"url":"https://github.com/eProsima/Fast-DDS/commit/a726e6a5daba660418d1f7c05b6f203c17747d2b"},{"reference_url":"https://github.com/eProsima/Fast-DDS/commit/ced3b6f92d928af1eae77d5fe889878128ad421a","reference_id":"ced3b6f92d928af1eae77d5fe889878128ad421a","reference_type":"","scores":[{"value":"1.7","scoring_system":"cvssv4","scoring_elements":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U"},{"value":"Track","scoring_system":"ssvc","scoring_elements":"SSVCv2/E:N/A:N/T:P/P:M/B:A/M:M/D:T/2026-02-03T20:36:36Z/"}],"url":"https://github.com/eProsima/Fast-DDS/commit/ced3b6f92d928af1eae77d5fe889878128ad421a"},{"reference_url":"https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/CVE-2025-64098","reference_id":"CVE-2025-64098","reference_type":"","scores":[{"value":"1.7","scoring_system":"cvssv4","scoring_elements":"CVSS:4.0/AV:N/AC:L/AT:P/PR:N/UI:N/VC:N/VI:N/VA:L/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N/E:U"},{"value":"Track","scoring_system":"ssvc","scoring_elements":"SSVCv2/E:N/A:N/T:P/P:M/B:A/M:M/D:T/2026-02-03T20:36:36Z/"}],"url":"https://security-tracker.debian.org/tracker/CVE-2025-64098"}],"weaknesses":[{"cwe_id":125,"name":"Out-of-bounds Read","description":"The product reads data past the end, or before the beginning, of the intended buffer."},{"cwe_id":190,"name":"Integer Overflow or Wraparound","description":"The product performs a calculation that can produce an integer overflow or wraparound, when the logic assumes that the resulting value will always be larger than the original value.
